Closet Remix

Features

Eleven engines. One wardrobe.

Closet Remix doesn't lean on generic AI to suggest outfits. Underneath the app are eleven rule-based engines, each grounded in peer-reviewed research, NHS-method sizing, and decades of working garment knowledge. Here's what's actually doing the work.

01

Colour Analysis

Twelve-season system

Twelve seasons, read from you

A short quiz reads your natural colouring — hair, eyes, skin — and places you in one of twelve seasonal palettes, from Deep Winter to Soft Summer. From there, every outfit suggestion is scored for colour harmony: the sage shirt and the rust trousers don't just match, they match you.

Your palette becomes a working tool, not a certificate. It's there when you add items, when you build looks in Remix Studio, and you can save and adapt it — lighter, darker, softer — into palettes of your own.

Curated aesthetic palettes — Coastal, Quiet Luxury, Streetwear and more — give you a visual language for what you already love, in imagery that reflects how you dress: feminine, masculine, or a mix.

02

Body Shape

FFIT · NCSU research

Identity, not instruction

Closet Remix understands shape across every wardrobe — with distinct shape sets for feminine, masculine and neutral fits, built on established figure-identification research (FFIT, North Carolina State University).

Here's what we do differently: we'll tell you your shape, and then we'll shut up about it. No “rules for pears.” No “styles that flatter.” Your shape quietly informs which silhouettes rise to the top of your suggestions — and that's it. Your clothes get the advice; you get outfits that work.

Measurements are always optional, never required — and never collected from under-18s.

03

Weather

Seven temperature zones

Live weather pulled from OpenWeatherMap, mapped to seven temperature zones from −10°C to 40°C. The app factors in rain, wind, humidity — and suggests sunglasses for warm days, ski goggles for the slope.

Layering rules adapt to British weather specifically. Yes, the t-shirt-under-a-coat-with-a-jumper-in-the-bag combo is a supported pattern.

04

Occasion Matching — formality-graded

10 occasions, formality-graded

Ten occasions, each with its own formality level, colour rules, garment preferences and styling notes — so a work outfit and a date-night outfit are built differently, not just relabelled: Everyday, Casual, Work, Active, Brunch, Date Night, Evening, Night Out, Holiday and Special Occasion.

05

Preference Learning

17 feedback rules

Seventeen rules track what you wear, what you skip, what you love and what you reject. The app learns colour pairings, fabric preferences, occasion patterns and your personal style without ever needing to "train a model" on your data.

Foundation-piece nudges remind you when you're under-using basics. Accent-overload warnings catch the opposite.

06

Sustainability Impact

WRAP · Kering EP&L · Carbonfact

CO₂ and water data per garment from peer-reviewed sources: WRAP, Kering EP&L, Nature Climate Change, UPC INTEXTER. Wear counts, cost-per-wear and environmental savings calculated against industry averages — not slogans.

The "hardest-working piece in your wardrobe" is named and celebrated each week.

07

Capsule Wardrobe

UT Austin algorithm

Based on the University of Texas at Austin combinatorial method. Three-layer analysis: Foundation (neutral basics), Accent (statement pieces), Occasion (event-specific). The combination counter shows how many outfits sixteen pieces actually unlock — the answer is usually more than you'd think.

08

Travel Packing

Coming later · Forecast-aware

Generates packing lists from destination, duration, planned activities and the weather forecast for the days you'll be away. The Capsule Builder feeds it pieces; the Calendar tells it when you're back. Released after launch — vote it up the roadmap from your Profile.

09

Week & weekend planner

Morning · Day · Evening

Plan ahead — the full week on Premium, the weekend on Student (13–24). Each day carries three slots — Morning, Day and Evening. Avoids repetition automatically and factors in the seven-day forecast.

10

Wardrobe Gap Analysis

Aesthetic-driven

Pick your aesthetics, tell the app your lifestyle, and gap analysis identifies the missing pieces — but only the ones you'd actually wear. Buying suggestions route to pre-loved, rental or our verified sustainable brand directory before retail.

11

Emotional Memory

Eleven memory tags

Because clothes carry more than fabric

Eleven memory tags let you record what a piece really is — a gift from someone special, an inherited piece, something you made or customised, secondhand and pre-loved, repaired and altered, the thing that gets you compliments, the one that makes you feel amazing.

And the app listens. Pieces that make you feel amazing rise to the top when a special occasion calls. On a grey day, it'll suggest something that feels like a hug. Secondhand, inherited and handmade pieces count toward your impact. Items with real memories attached are protected — Closet Remix will never suggest letting go of something handed down or made by your own hands.

The dress your sister gave you in Lisbon stays the dress your sister gave you in Lisbon.
